Concrete Pump Inspection Planning

Begin with the decision you need the inspection to support. This topic brings together five different planning tasks: arranging an appointment, managing downtime assumptions, preparing quote inputs, explaining missing history and coordinating remote attendance. None defines an inspection interval or the technical work required on a machine.

Choose the brief that matches the uncertainty

If you already know the proposed service, the appointment guide helps organise contacts, records and handover questions. If fleet scheduling is the main concern, start with downtime dependencies rather than asking for a universal turnaround time. If the history is uncertain, an evidence-gap brief should precede assumptions about scope.

Different starting points

  • Appointment readiness: who attends, what records exist and who receives the report.
  • Downtime planning: which dates are provisional and what approvals affect the programme.
  • Quote preparation: the asset, intended deliverable and assumptions behind a proposal.
  • Missing history: what is absent, incomplete or not yet verified.
  • Remote coordination: who controls site access and how mobilisation will be confirmed.

Service names do not settle the scope

Annual and major inspection services are existing service choices, not a timetable prescribed by this hub. Ask the provider to confirm the appropriate scope from the individual unit and available information. Where the question is whether the evidence can support a proposed assessment, engineering or documentation support may be a better first discussion.

Do not prepare equipment from a general article. These resources organise the administrative handover; access methods, inspection extent and any technical preparation belong in an agreed specialist scope.

Move to the next question when the brief is clear

Once you have a proposal, compare its deliverables and exclusions using the testing and records topic. If findings lead to a repair discussion, use repair planning to separate the commercial estimate from technical acceptance. Keep each stage’s assumptions visible rather than treating the original appointment request as authority for every later activity.
